Think fast! In Set, the card game, your observation skills are your greatest weapon. Forget complicated strategies, it's all about pattern recognition.
Each card features four attributes: color (red, green, purple), shape (oval, squiggle, diamond), number (one, two, three), and shading (solid, striped, open). A "Set" consists of three cards where, for *each* attribute, the cards are either all the same OR all different.
Sound confusing? It's easier than it seems! Imagine three cards: red, one oval, solid; red, two ovals, striped; red, three ovals, open. This is a Set because the color and shape attributes are all the same, while the number and shading are all different.
The game begins with twelve cards face-up. Players simultaneously try to identify Sets. When you spot one, call out "Set!" and claim the cards. Three new cards replace them. The game ends when no more Sets can be made from the remaining cards. The player with the most Sets wins!
Set is a fantastic brain-boosting game for all ages. Sharpen your mind and challenge your friends – happy setting!
