Woke up late and missed that crucial meeting? Chances are, your iPhone alarm decided to take a vacation. Don't panic! A silent alarm is a surprisingly common issue, and thankfully, usually easy to fix.
First, double-check the obvious: **volume.** Is your ringer volume turned down or muted? A quick swipe up from the bottom will show you. Also, ensure the "Change with Buttons" option is enabled in Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
Next, **verify the alarm itself.** Open the Clock app and double-check the alarm time, repeat schedule, and sound selection. A corrupted alarm can sometimes cause issues; try deleting and recreating it.
**'Do Not Disturb' and 'Silent Mode'** are notorious alarm killers. Make sure these features are disabled, or configured to allow alarms to sound.
Finally, outdated software can sometimes be the culprit. A quick **iOS update** might be all you need. Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
If all else fails, consider a restart. A simple reboot can often resolve minor software glitches. Sweet dreams (and punctual wake-ups) await!
