Windows 10 Acting Up? Here's How to Boot into Safe Mode (And Why You'd Want To!)

Is your Windows 10 PC giving you the blues? Experiencing crashes, glitches, or just generally misbehaving? Safe Mode might be your knight in shining armor! Safe Mode starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services, making it ideal for troubleshooting. Think of it as taking your PC to the doctor without all the extra baggage.

So, how do you boot into this diagnostic haven? There are a few ways:

* **From Settings (if Windows is running):** Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced startup > Restart now. After restarting, choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart. Then press the number key corresponding to Safe Mode (usually 4).
* **Using Shift + Restart:** Hold down the Shift key while clicking Restart in the Start menu or on the sign-in screen. This will take you to the same recovery environment as above.
* **Interrupting Normal Startup (if Windows won't start):** If Windows fails to start normally several times, it should automatically boot into the recovery environment.

Once in Safe Mode, you can uninstall problematic drivers, run system scans, or even restore to a previous working state. Good luck troubleshooting!
