Chessboard Chaos? Learn How to Set Up Like a Pro!

Ready to wage war on the 64 squares? First, you need to know how to set up a chessboard correctly. It's easier than you think!

**The Foundation:** Make sure a white square is on the bottom right-hand corner for both players. Think 'white on the right'. This is crucial!

**The Royal Family:** The Queen always goes on her own color – white Queen on a white square, black Queen on a black square. The Kings then take the remaining squares next to their Queens.

**Guarding the Royals:** Place the Bishops next to the Kings and Queens, followed by the Knights and finally, the Rooks in the corners.

**Pawn Power:** Line up all eight pawns along the second rank (for White) and the seventh rank (for Black). These little soldiers are your front line!

With your pieces properly positioned, you're ready to think strategically, plan your attacks, and checkmate your opponent. Happy playing!
